When you stay at Castle Farm you share with Edward and Sally the experience of staying on a modern working farm in a truely historical setting. Castle Farm is a mixed livestock and arable farm set in the beautiful south Shropshire hills between Church Stretton and Craven Arms. A perfect mixture of ancient and modern.
The farmhouse is set around a courtyard, parts of which date from 13th century. A fortified manor house with many original features. You can make yourselves at home in our comfortable spacious bedrooms, unwind in the guest lounge or find your own space within our large gardens in which to appreciate the age and beauty of these unique surroundings.
We are well situated for exploring all of the area know as The Welsh Marches. With excellent walking straight from the doorstep, you can leave the car behind. We can help you plan your route or browse through our large selection of guides and leaflets. There are plenty of places to visit from heritage sites to shops, for a spot of retail therapy.
Enjoy a full "farmers" breakfast to set you up for the day which includes locally produced sausage, bacon, black pudding and eggs. Sample some of Sally's homemade jams and marmalades to finish off. You may decide to take a picnic with you or arrange a home cooked meal to come back to. All freshly prepared by Sally.
